Default Stuff you have to bring to the exam?

First let me say good luck to you all. Also, I would say don't study too hard tonight, as you will need a fresh brain for tommarow. I myself have started to panic, as I was balling on practice exams about a week ago, and then burnt myself out to the point of regressing the last few days, thus I'm taking it easy tonight.

My question is don't we have to bring some sort of exam reciept or something to the examination center? Do you log in to your SOA account and print it out or something?

You have to bring your "ticket of admission" It's basically the sales receipt you print out from registering online through SOA's site. Get it here:

Good luck!

And a legal form of id: passport or driver's license.

I also bring 2 calculators, an arsenal of pencils and a travelling alarm clock, in case I can't see the timepiece from where I'm sitting. (Neurotic, much?)

It was my understanding that if you bring said clock, you can't actually have it on your desk. Wristwatch, sure, but not something like an alarm clock. I think the theory is that the proctors would like as little on your desk as possible so as to have as much of a full view of your work as they can get.

Theoretically, of course.

Just make sure your receipt has your candidate number on it. I had to reprint mine today. The one I had that was my initial credit card receipt didn't have the candidate number (I'm glad I checked that today instead of catching it at the last minute). Now I am on my way to check my driver's license - I had a birthday a few months ago, and I haven't checked to see if it expired.

Also agree with the comment about not being allowed to have the clock on your desk. In May my proctor brought in a big battery operated clock and set it at the front of the room. He stated that he had to have the battery operated clock in case there was a power outage or something that caused the electric clock on the wall to stop. The good thing is that is was easy for everyone to see. When I took FM, at the same center (but a different proctor), he didn't have the extra clock. I didn't think to look for a clock and sat where I could barely see it.
