Default The media needs to move on.

Popular vote 99% of precincts reporting

• Al Gore (DEM) 49,244,746 48%
• George W. Bush (REP) 49,026,305 48%

Why does MSNBC have this on their front page today?

Trying to get Gore back in the race?

Why isn't this a big deal?? I would think people would be outraged to have their will ignored like this. I would think people would be upset that voter roles were modified before the election in Florida. I don't understand why anyone thinks the media is OVER reacting when it looks to me that most people are UNDER reacting.

I'm sure Mulan understands the concept of the electoral college. It is the tool by which the will of the people was ignored, as she put it.

I would be interested to hear your idea of the electoral college. Something about tyranny of the majority, wasn't it?

Sorry, I wasn't clear - my point was that Florida was stolen from Gore on purpose...

Better fix that typo or you'll get picked on fore sure. To your point, I remember the election night when some of the networks called Florida for Gore. The Republicans all seemed unworried. Kind of like they knew they would win that state regardless. In fact, I think one of them even said they knew more about Florida than the networks or and they weren't worried. Said they knew the state would be red in the end. Wonder why they were so confident. Rarely does a state change colors like that.....

Give me a break. Do you ever hear partisan commentators say they're worried, or surprised about an outcome? The state was decided by a few thousand votes out of maybe six million. If the fix was in, it wasn't a very good one.

That's what happens when you allow people to vote without proper supervision.
