Reasonable? Or are the FA graders and DP graders, for instance, disjoint sets?
I would think that most people that mark the IA and FA do not mark any of the FSA written exams.

The slowdown could be due to the holidays or more exams in the queue as people write their exam in November then work on the IA or FA right after while they are waiting for their result.

I am really surprised by this slowdown. I haven't seen any results since Jan 10 and any graded papers submitted after Dec 8. Is the wait really up to 5 weeks for a first grader?

This is pretty similar to what's going on with the interim assessment. No results since Jan 10, and no graded papers submitted after 12/5 (or 12/4?). In light of the extended wait, I've tried to convince FSAs at my company to volunteer as graders. Most are more interested in writing/grading CSP and DP. I feel like it's a bigger commitment to volunteer as an IA or FA grader especially if the pool of other graders is small.

I guess all we can do is hope that we eventually pass.

Remember, if you volunteer to mark DP/CSP, you get to go away for a couple of days. I don't think you get to do that for marking the IA/FA

I would guess that with the possible exception of foreign language graders, they are totally disjoint sets. I'm not sure how it works if you don't submit in English. I know there's a reasonable pool of French & Mandarin graders, but I don't know about any other languages. (Does the SoA even allow other languages???)

If you're writing in English, I'm pretty sure that it's an entirely different set of graders. In fact, I thought most graders only graded a specific question (or maybe two) on the essay exams, but I might be wrong about that.

I submitted on the 16th and am nervously awaiting results.

Has anyone who submitted on the 16th or later heard anything? What about the beginning of December? Just curious.

It would be really cool if I could make the January ASA list, but I'm not holding out too much hope at this point. I'll mainly just be happy with a pass - I'm not sure I could submit myself to that torture again!

I submitted my EOM 7 exercise on 12/7 and still haven't had it graded, nevertheless my FA... I think they're just behind on everything. Is there any way for us to know if grading is going to pick back up again and the backlog cleared?

I submitted on 12/5 -

I called the SOA a few times to find out the status of my paper, and I've been assured every time that I would hear within the promised 7 week time frame, which is up next Friday.

My EOM7 was graded after I downloaded the FA.
