Default Past Canadian Questions applicable to US and other Sample Exams

Couple of thoughts:

First, triplea thank you so much for the practice exam. I appreciate it. Great job. And in that similar vein, do any of you know if there are old practice exams on the forum done by others for past years - I looked through about 20 pages of the Exam 7 discussion board and couldn't find any.

Second, there is some overlap between the Canadian and US exams; has anyone compiled a list of past Canadian questions which are applicable to our exam. Is there a tendency for them to ask the same types of questions on these two exams for a given year - my initial impression would be no, but I don't know.

Thanks.

Not sure if there has even been something like the mock exam done before for this exam, but there are a plethora of questions written by the AO (the first sticky thread in this discussion board). You'll find a great list of questions there. I think someone also did a Canada one.

As far as Canada, see the syllabus. It says we need to know "some" aspects of Canadian and international accounting. So it's pretty vague. I would know the differences between Canadian and statutory accounting (for example, I think Canada is somewhat GAAP, with some elements of statutory, such as the "required reserves.")

Concerning the Canadian Exam 7 - I may not have been that clear, I am not talking about canadian accounting, rather the canadian exam; some of the same papers are covered on both exam syllabbi (spelling); I was wondering if anyone had composed a list of the overlapping questions. Again, thanks for the mock exam.
