I voted for what I use. And I have to confess, I don't think it's better than gas. I've just had a lot of bad experiences with gas grills going "boom" because they were hard to light, and charcoal seems simpler and safer. (Although I happily use a gas range in the house. But it's easier to maintain indoor stuff.)

Hmm, I wonder if there will be time to grill something this evening. That would be nice.

Whichever you think has the best combination of food flavor, ease of cleanup, easy of maintenance, etc.

I've never used a wood grill, but gas is way better than charcoal, in every way.

Food tastes better with charcoal, but there's too much work involved for it to be the best option. Propane wins because you can be grilling 5 minutes after you turn it on, and you can shut it off immediately after you're finished. No need to wait 4 hours for the charcoal to burn itself out. And clean-up isn't even close. Wood fires are only good for hotdogs and marshmallows on camping trips.

pretty much nailed it there. The difference in the food quality for charcoal is not worth the effort.

My biggest issue with propane is the ability for it to run out in the middle of cooking something. I also much prefer the flavor of charcoal. Propane cleanup is much easier, though, as you said, so that's why the poll.

I had one friend who had a huge brick bar-b-q/grill that used wood, and that was pretty cool, but I think the setup costs would be too high.

We had 3 tanks growing up, but inevitably, we'd wait until all 3 ran out, the 3rd in the middle of cooking, to fill up them all.
