Default Non-disclosure of exam questions

Based on a PM from someone in the SOA/CAS exam structure, Mary Hardy's post about not disclosing CBT questions also applies to Course C questions. I have temporarily deleted some threads while I review them.

Please avoid discussion specific language of problems, anything specific enough that would let anyone know the steps necessary to solve it.

Are you going to go back to previous sittings and delete posts there?

Could you post a link to the actual policy? I'm curious.

Seems like a lack of transparency to me. They can give us 300 sample problems while they're sitting around laughing knowing the 20 different types of questions that exist in the bank.

What's wrong with someone posting a solution to, say, a "random" problem that may or may not bear slight resemblance to an unreleased exam question? That is educational and beneficial.

The SOA and CAS are naive to think they can prevent this. To be honest, I'm questioning their motives for making this move.

I guess I still don't understand how we were always able to discuss questions previously if this has always been the policy. How are you supposed to get help without asking the question?

It's like actuarial prohibition - it used to be cool, now it's not, and there will probably still be a large market of people who want to do it anyways.

I agree, but will the same thing be in force from now on?
