Default Access 2007 Problem & Solution

We recently "upgraded" to Office 2007. One of the lovely "features" of Access 2007 is that when you arrow-key through a database, and hit a date field, Access hangs.

Thanks to Google, I found the solution: Click on the line-above-a-down-facing-triangle near the left side of the title bar, then click "Minimize the Ribbon". This fixes the problem.

Apparently Microsoft's testers disliked the ribbon as much as most experienced users, so they minimized them and never noticed this problem. Or something like that.

This has been a public service announcement.

Thanks for posting that. I'm glad to be finally free of that particular Office 2007 feature.
