Wow, replaced the entire first line and 2 D (so far).

I'll miss Koivu, Kovy and Komi, you know. And, you know, I'm going to miss Lang. But that's, you know, life.

Anyhoo, I can live with this lineup:

Forwards
Cammalleri - Gomez - Gionta
A Kost - Plekanec - S Kost
Paciorrety - Lapierre - Latendress
Stewart - Metropolit - Laraque/D'Agostini
Defence
Markov - Gill
Spacek - Gorges
Hamrlik - O'Byrne/Weber

So ... the Blackhawks might not have any RFA's now because they might all be UFA? I'm thinking if the NHL rules against the Blackhawks, more than a couple of people are going to get canned in the Chicago front office.

See, I knew the Hossa signing was a bad idea... I just didn't know why yet. Now they don't have the money to sign those 2.

Looks like the NHL isn't going to do anything, but the union can file a grievance. Most teams mail them out, so this may be dead in the water.

I wonder what kind of money Koivu is asking for... or if he wants to come back. I would love to have him back if they had the money for it (or if Gomez would kindly take a well-deserved pay-cut)

Beauchemin to Toronto for 3 years and about $10M, I'm reading. They might end up trading Kaberle yet.

TSN puts the dollar figure at $11.5M

He'll have 76 decent games, and 6 games where he catches fire (all against the Habs). I think it's a good pick-up for the Sens, as long as they don't expect him to play up to his 'expectations'.

Hmmm... as much as this hurts me to say, their D is starting to look like a solid decence core. Now they just need someone to put the puck in the net
