Second after Saudi, aren't they?
I heard most oil reserves, but Saudis produce it faster. Of course it's just something I heard somewhere once.

Oil reserves:
1. Saudi Arabia, 265 bil barrels
2. Iraq, 115 bil barrels

I stand corrected. Let's take this learing oppurtunity to post a quick math quiz for TS. TS... based on the above, which country has more reserves?

(Hint: USA, Ken Lay and Haliburton are not choices.)

As for Iraq being poor, have you forgoteen that this country sits on more oil then any other country in the world? The only reason it was "poor" was the leader of the country wanted it that way.

As for Saddam Hussein bluffing, where were you and your heroes with this claim when they all voted for military action in Iraq and you sat quietly by. Truly pathetic how you can't see past party lines, ever.
I suspected the bluff all along. The inspectors found nothing and now we have control of the country and found nothing. Imminent threat? ha ha.

There are probably lots of reasons the country was poor, including a decade of sanctions. Sure, most of it was Hussein's fault, but at least now you are admitting that Iraq was poor...

Who are my heroes? I don't have any heroes who voted for military action in Iraq.

I'm not a socialist no matter how much you would like to think that. Maybe if you keep repeating it ala GWB linking Iraq and Al Qaeda, people will start believing it.

Trick question. The answer of course is the US since we now control both of those countries.

The country was never poor. Saddam kept all the money.

Please point out all/any of your posts before the US invasion where you so wisely let us all know that Saddam had no WMDs and that he was bluffing. I am quite interested to see your amazing foresight, given of course that the rest of the world including all major intelligence agencies in the world thought otherwise.

Surely you would have posted this seeing how it would have been a foremost point in why the US should not go into Iraq. Wouldn't it?

I searched your nickname with bluff or bluffing and found only this thread an the Estrada nomination thread.

So, in you opinion, you knew he was bluffing, but in all the debates leading up to the war, you chose not to let this little nugget come into the discussion?

I didn't "know" he was bluffing. I suspected that he might be bluffing. Maybe I used a word other than bluff? Pretend, lie, trick, deceive, etc. I don't know. Maybe I posted something on another anonymous forum with my ideas. Maybe I spoke to someone in real life about it.

By this logic, I'm not sure any country would be considered poor. The leader of pretty much any "poor" nation has quite a bit of money.
