Default California Gubernatorial Race

I'm curious what everyone here thinks (besides the fact that my state is f*cked-up, I think I know that already). I'm curious how you'd vote. Obviously, there's not space (nor practicality or whatever) to list all the options , but I'll try to be relatively concise. I'm registered Republican, but often wonder why - I think the other side is even worse. I call myself a reluctant Republican. If you don't live in California, then pretend you do (put yourself in the shoes of someone who does).

Even though she's still on the ballot, exclude Arianna (sp?) Huffington since she pulled out.

At the moment, I'm leaning toward Ah-nold - but only because I want SOMETHING to change, he's looking good in the polls and I think Bustamante would just preserve the status quo.

I already voted (absentee ballot).

I'll never tell how I voted. (Oh, God, I can't believe how I voted.) I still can't believe that Gary Coleman is on the ballot!!!

Arnold had a good point, if spoken in mangled English. When asked how he'd balance the budget, Bustamante is incapable of saying the words "I'd cut spending". The solution is, Bustamante is sure, tax cuts of some description. It is a vicious cycle...if you have a surplus, you correct it by increase spending, and if you have a deficit you correct it by increasing taxes.

It was the same with the 9 (now 10) riders of the apocalypse (aka the field of democrat presidential hopefuls). They were falling all over themselves to say how much they'd raise taxes by to help the economy out. It just doesn't seem to dawn on any of them that you can actually decrease spending.

Yeah, but that was several years ago. Call me naive, but I do believe that Ah-nold has more altruistic intentions as opposed to other Repub's that are politicians (well, Dems to in that regard) that are more interested in perpetuating themselves.

Arnold said he would open the books. Do a big audit.
That COSTS money, right? Or are a bunch of accountants gonna do it free?

If you were honestly voting based on that criteria, you'd vote Camejo, or some other 3rd party candidate.
Arnie is just another GOP puppet.
He'll do what his Party Handlers tell him to do.

Really? He claims to have used his own money - doesn't take donations. Then why hasn't McClintock dropped out - he's a (career) politician? Wouldn't that be political/career suicide for him? I also want to vote for someone who has a realistic chance of winning (see above).
