Default Do companies care about your GRE scores?

I took my GRE, and my scores were awesome. Do firms that hire actuaries care about this sort of thing enough to put it on my resume?

I wouldn't even know how many points it would be out of or what the distribution of scores usually is.

Nobody cares and it would be a mistake to bring it up unless it is somehow better than an 800 on the SAT Math section, which many entry level candidates can claim.

If took the GRE Math (or maybe Physics or Computer Science) subject exam and got a very high score, some people might care a little bit.

Mostly people will only care about how you did on actuarial exams since nothing is a good predictor of actuarial exam success other than prior actuarial exam success.

Not until the SOA gives exam credit for high GRE scores.

I love how an 800/800 on the math section doesn't even put you in the 90th percentile. While, a 650 on verbal does put you in the 90th percentile. Everyone does well on the math section. Although this is probably slightly skewed due to the strange fact that engineers for some reason take the general GRE also.

Wow, I can tell why you did so well. You have so much to teach us actuaries about tests.

Let me try one:

SAT : College :: Actuarial Exams : Job

As someone pointed out, in the context of actuarial students you literally can't have an awesome GRE Math section score. The test isn't hard enough to communicate your ability in a way that is meaningful at this level. We can all add numbers and take the area of a square.
