Default "He wasn't a ninja."

The police spokesman said the student who wielded the weapon had no advanced sword training. "He wasn't a ninja," Guglielmi said. "He may have been moderately trained or on the intermediate level."

So, that's the official terminology. An expert swordsman is a ninja?

What do you expect from the guy says that: "He may have been moderately trained or on the intermediate level." They're the same thing!

Default There can be only one!

It seems the investigation overlooked that the two were, in fact, immortals . . .

Anyway, it doesn't take "skill" to use a large sharp object and kill someone else with a few swings. It takes skill to disable someone w/o risking a fatal injury, but not to kill.

I'm not sure why the "not a ninja" comment was warranted apart from ignorance of the use of such (archaic) equipment.

Also, this seems to indicate that gun control laws might just be a moot point.

Totally agree on the skill thing. Hard to be finesse with a heavy hackablade like the katana.

One of the guys in my dorm was a black belt in kendo. Had done it for eight years. My freshmen year I did training with him. He was pretty ninja level. The kid in question was probably more at my level after a year of that stuff.
