Txxx Axxx Axx xx AKQ QJ9xx Kxx xxRHO preempts 4 , I hold my breath and bid 4 . The opening lead was a small club to RHO's ace, followed by a surprising diamond shift at trick 2. I won that trick in hand and played the Q, king, ace, small. On the way back RHO shows out of hearts, no surprise, I take it with the jack. Now three rounds of spades, Jx falls on my right. Over to the ace of diamonds, ten of spades, pitching a diamond, diamond ruff, exit heart to west who only holds diamonds now and I score a ruff/sluff making 5, 98%.
