Default How Do You React To Telemarketers?

I usually say once or twice "I'm not interested" or "I don't need that" or just hang up directly. For banks and legit businesses I like I at least try to talk them into giving up. But if they keep talking I just hang up.

"Will you please take me off your calling list? Thank you" Hang up. (I don't really wait for much of a response.)

First time through I act like this.

There are a few annoying ones that repeat despite this: In which case I ask them for their name and tell them they can personally be fined $10k for not following my do not call request...

And in the rare case if they just keep calling, I ask them what they are wearing and if they like being pee'd on...

I say hello and if there's a delay I know there's a computer waiting to hear if I answer. If that happens I just say nothing, because that wastes the most time for them. After that they don't call anymore.

Caller ID takes care of most telemarketers. We sometimes will count how many times/how long a particular one will keep calling . . . the record has been two weeks with six total calls (goes to a guy named "Kevin") . . .

We're on the "do not call" list, so we never get telemarketing calls. Prior to that, I used to say "no thank you" to whatever they said (even if it didn't make sense as a response), max of three times then hang up.

I haven't gotten any of these in years. All I have is a cell phone do they call those?

I put my 90-year-old grandmother on the phone. She'll talk for hours without making any sense.
