May be I was too hasty to delete my post.

Anyway, here is the summary of my original post.
How seriously (money, time etc) do you take your child's minor sport activities?


PS: Yes, usenet does exist, but mostly rants
and adds for xxx stuff.

PPS: This is not a pure troll!

Age of child? How good are they at sports?

If they suck/only play to have fun/r very young - then go cheap. Once they start getting older/good, cough up the dough for equipment that will make them safer/better, events/tournaments that will make them more skilled, clinics/training and apparel that they will not be made fun of by their peers. JMO (no, not that JMO)

SOme sports require a higher level of commitment (hockey or gymnastics). Match the kids level of enthusiasm with your own not the other way around.
