I don't think anyone thought THAT 13-3 team was really all that. I don't remember if it was easy schedule or lucky or both, but I don't think anyone really respected that team. And weren't they like 0-5 or 0-6 before VY took over this year?

Cutler has at least been average or so for more than one year. Sanchez was kind of below average. Granted it was his rookie year, but whether he goes up or down seems like anybodys guess at this point.
Sanchez had a few bad games early in the year. He actually proved himself to be a pretty good QB. I wouldn't put him anywhere near the top 10 right now, but as a Jets fan I am glad to have him.

A QB will always look bad when he is on a bad team. He will always look good when he is on a good team. To say that Sanchez and Cassel can succeed in NY but not in Kansas City is a useless comment. There isn't a single QB in the NFL who would have succeeded in KC this year.

Sanchez flat out stunk until the playoffs. But so what? That's what most rookie qbs do. I think Sanchez is a legit starting qb and should get better but its way too early to say how he will be in the future. Playing well in the playoffs can do a lot for his confidence.

Most people forget Brees was a bum until his 4th year.

some teams will take the time to build around a young QB, but to often they are looking for the quick fix to their current system/team. Most coaches won't have the time to take 3-4 years to build a team around a young qb.

the 13-3 titans looked a lot like the Carolina SB team. They won many close games. The next yera the stunk becuase all the close games they won the year before, they lost. I don't expect the Titans to be that good next year.

The Titans defense really fell off this year. Collins wasnt that great when they were 13-3, but they ran the ball all the time. Titans need to get their defense back to being top 10 if they want to be good, otherwise they are 7 to 9 win team.

What do you think would have happened if VY had started every game for the Titans this year?

They were 0-6 in games started by Collins. 8-2 in games with VY. It's possible VY would have made them 3-3 in the games Collins went 0-6. One of the games was against the Jets where Collins threw two ints and had a 40 passer rating and the Jets won 24-17.

Even if VY goes 2-4 AND loses the Jets game, the Jets would not have been a playoff team. Only reason the Jets made the playoffs is because the Colts didn't play their starters the whole game in week 15 that and VY didn't play the first 6 games.

Jets could have easily been 7-9 this year losing to the Colts and Titans had those two teams played their best players. Talk about luck. For the season, Sanchez was about 28 out of 32 QBs.
