I guess 2010 will be my last year watching sports.
If an uncapped season occurs in football (which I believe is what it sounds like will happen in 2011), this sport will become the next baseball. Unwatchable. The season will likely end up becoming bloated to 18 or 20 games to make the money to pay players pretty much whatever and the Super Bowl will get played in March. If the NCAA tournament expands to 96 teams (like it sounds like they will), there's no point in watching it at all. There will be no more Cinderella teams. Baseball is already unwatchable without a salary cap and a 162 game regular season. The NBA is a joke. Boxing only has two fighters that people actually care about, but they can't seem to hammer out a deal to fight. US Soccer is crap. NASCAR is boring, unless I decide I should become an alcoholic. The NHL season is way too long. Golf tournaments should be played and then edited down to an hour and broadcast. I guess I can still watch FBS and FCS football. So, sports will be ok for 3 months out of the year instead of six.

The uncapped season would be a one time thing (note, I think it's 2010, not 2011), the best teams have severe restrictions on signing players (the eight final teams [DAL, NOR, MIN, ARZ, IND, NYJ, BAL, SDO] cannot sign a free agent without losing one first), many players will lose free agency (the cut off jumps from 4 to 6 years), and there are more transition/franchise tags available. A single uncapped season doesn't hurt the NFL.
Now, if they lose the cap in the CBA for good, yes, it will lose a lot.

I dunno. Baseball does suck if you aren't one of about 8-10 markets.
NHL season is too long ... there are too many injuries. It would be better if they cut it down to 66 games (4 against division, 2 against everyone else), but they won't do that due to money. NASCAR does, in fact, suck. Boxing does too, as does the NBA. US Soccer is in a bit of a funk, but if Onweyu and Davies get themselves healthy, it should be a fun World Cup. NCAA tournament will have less cinderellas if they have to win one more round. I personally recommend the National Lacrosse League. Hitting like hockey, cheap tickets, and you can grab a beer with the players after the game if you want.

The NHL needs to get rid of about 10 teams and the instigator rule.

Funny, the only people that think this are people that don't follow hockey that much.
