Correct answer: A very weak attempt at describing something not even that complex.

The tables it attempts to describe are inherently multidimensional, yet it has no facility for defining these dimensions, and constrains you to really one simple type of structure.

Yet people seriously want this as a standard? So that everybody may do things incorrectly?

Been there, solved that... very surprised that they didn't do a better job tackling this small problem ("what is a table?"). It doesn't paint a pretty picture for future standards.

I don't think you understood it. The standard provides for as many dimensions as you care to use: age, duration, sex, smoker, etc.

participated with jacques rioux and cindy jeness. i proposed the name. it stuck. hence, xtbmlguy
