Default NJ State Troopers

The roads have been crawling with them the last week or so. Like I counted 2 dozen - including four parked side by side on the median - in a 20 mile stretch of 287 the other day. And I've been seeing them a lot more on other roads as well. At first I thought maybe it was an Amber Alert dragnet or something, but I haven't read anything about it. Is Christie on a revenue kick?

Gotta finance those tax cuts for the rich somehow, only so many school budget cuts you can have before you destroy your state's property values....

To top it off, at one point I was in the left of two lanes and a police car came flying up with lights on but no siren. There's a tractor trailer(and a long, long row of cars tailgating each other) in the right lane in front of me and a car to my right with her engine even with my trunk. I put on my right blinker to get over and the dipshit stays even with me for what seems like a freaking mile and a half before she realizes "hey, maybe that cop needs to get somewhere and I should let this guy get over."

Moran. I mean there's a gd police car next to you with their lights flashing!

Yeah I noticed a bunch of cops on the NJ turnpike last weekend. Maybe they're trying to meet the April quota now? So maybe no cops in the last week of April? That'd be nice!

If I was a cop, I'd have my quota done on the 4th of the month and loaf the last three and a half weeks.

Or maybe go all out the last couple days of month 1 and the first few days of month two, and I could loaf until the end of month 3--two weeks of "work" and 6 1/2 weeks of surfing the internet on the patrol car laptop!

quotas seem wrong to me. If someone is doing something wrong, then do your job. Don't go looking for people to do something wrong. You think a cop is going to go back to the office 1 speeding ticket too short? No. He's gonna pick some unlucky sap and slap a ticket on him so he can go back to his boss and not be in trouble.
