Call Amazon. You can actually have them call you from their Contact Us page.

Yes, it has the books I downloaded on my first Kindle, though I have no idea when it pulled them onto the device. And the NYTimes will occasionally download and then I can read that. It's like I try to download something, it says it can't connect, I put the thing down in frustration, come back an hour later and it's there. Likewise, if I go to the movies section, it doesn't even fill in the icons, but again, twenty minutes later, they show up. But I click on them and it can't download anything.

Another complaint for the Kindle Touch: If you download a sample, then purchase the book, the full copy doesn't replace the sample. The sample stays on your home screen. Worse, you can't resume reading where you left off in the sample. You have to go to the full copy and start at the beginning, then find your way to where you stopped in the sample.

The iOS Kindle app replaces samples. Same for iBooks. Sloppy design, Amazon.

From what I've read, there is a firmware revision that fixes the wi-fi problem

This is true of the Kindle Keyboard, too. Interesting that they decided to handle it differently on the iOS app.

That's disappointing. Maybe now I don't have to kick myself so much for buying my nook color last fall.

The Kindle app for the iPad does the same thing.

Amazon has released a software update for the Kindle Touch. I've heard that it makes page turns a lot snappier. They will push it out OTA in the coming weeks, or you can download and install it manually here:
