The CAS doesn't even give grades above "pass". If you fail, you get a numeric grade on the same scale as the SoA grades, but if you pass it just says "pass". The only reasons I can think of for re-sitting a CAS exam would be:
You changed you name and it's easier to re-take the exam than to get your credit re-assigned. You want to steal questions from an exam that won't be published (only the on-line exams as of today). So no, you can't retake the exams, or if you can, it's a glitch in the system that should probably be fixed. |

Just writing what most of us normal people are thinking. Did you turn 13 yet? When's your birthday?

Funny, I'm 23 btw. I don't know about your job, but in the past 6 months I've used some of the material from P, FM, C, 5, 6, 7 and 9 .... You never know when it's good to have the knowledge stored in your brain. I mean sure you can always go look it up, but it's much faster if you remember. |

Perhaps you should take a hint in the reactions from other people on the AO. You're pretty much on your own many times.... When that happens, ask yourself: "What's more likely: I'm right and everyone else is wrong; or perhaps I'm missing something?" If you're just trolling, then fine... do your troll thing. But if you're on the level, you have a lot of awareness you need to work on. |

campbell-eagles418-myself, I think we can all confess our egos in this competitive dog-eat-dog world around us. It rubs off on us all.
I for one sure did a great job influencing people on posting this question. Considering the difficulty of passing exams and I posted this question. Getting along with others or getting along exceptionally well with a few meaningful others is not a skill anyone of us can completely master nor completely fail..unlike actuarial exams scored by a single-digit number. I understand Campbell is a remarkable actuary and eagles418 will be the Campbell of the next generation. Last edited by UFActuary; 07-17-2010 at 04:01 PM.. |
