Default New MFE syllabus-3hrs?

I can't seem to find this anywhere else, but is the syllabus and time changing for the 2011 tests? It only says it at the bottom here:
http://www.actuarialbookstore.com/pr...d_id=453061808

In addition, solutions to the new SOA sample questions have been added, and the number of questions on each of the 11 practice exams has been increased from 25 to 30 (and the time allowed from 2.5 to 3 hours), to conform to the new CBT format for the 2011 exams.

Aside from the more questions and times, ASM added 6 more lessons. Does anyone know where I can find the revised syllabus?

Default Pilot questions?

Could it be because of pilot questions being added due to the exam going to CBT? I seem to remember from FM extra questions (with additional time) being added to the exam as pilot questions that didn't count for or against your score. The exam-writers wanted to test them to see if they defective or too easy/hard.

Of course you didn't know which ones were the pilot questions, so there was the risk of wasting 10 minutes on a problem that wouldn't even count towards your score.

Extra time, my fanny! I took FM August 09 at Prometric in St. Louis...we had 35 questions 3 hours. I was anticipating 3.5 the whole time going into it and was pretty upset when I saw my timer ticking down from 2:59:59...

Luckily I was overprepared, but still...that was some bull spit...

From what I've read, the syllabus will not be changing. But there will be more questions as the time of the exam is increased from 2.5 to 3 hours. Here is the aricle from Future Fellows:

Did you have preliminary results for your sitting? I was November 2008, and I believe I was the 2nd CBT sitting for FM, so we didn't have preliminary results. I think that's why we got the extra time. I don't know what happened with your sitting - that sucks. But at least it was FM - 35 MLC or MFE questions in 3 hours would have been a lot harder!

Thanks. It's interesting what that article says...

I just took FM (yesterday), the test is still 35q in 3 hours. There's an extra half hour allotted just for the tutorial and survey at the end.

FM (the exam itself, not including the tutorial and survey) was never 3.5 hours. It has always been 3 hours. I think it is becuase FM questions are for the most part straightforward, and therefore they can ask you more questions in a 3 hour span of time.

I am not sure if you have taken MFE but I think you will find that some of the questions are not as straightforward as FM and require a bit more time.

Actually, when it was paper and pencil I THINK it was 2.5 hours for 30 questions.

Right, because when I took it for CBT the 3 hour time was new and a big deal for some. I think mine was 35 questions, but 5 of those were supposedly pilots. Does FM still have 5 pilot questions or do all 35 count for your score?
