That's you.
I'm not even talking about a pop up in the middle of the screen. How about a little notification shade that peeks out. Make it a toggleable option. And honestly, I don't notice the red icon. If I knew the battery life was 2 hours and I was using for 1.5 hours, no big deal. But with 8-10 hours of battery life, I only plug it in every few days and I don't really pay attention to where the battery indicator is. I'd just like a little warning is all.

1.) no skype
2.) no netflix
3.) no slingbox

All of these are cloud activities - so they need to be in a device like this.
Why can't you stream netflix? Does it not let you install the Silverlight plugin or something?

Manipulating women...now THAT's hard. Probably because most woman have no clue what they like.

The error message was that it wasn't a supported browser. I can see if there is a silverlight plug in if that fixes the problem.

Sure, its just one little icon in the tray, no big deal. But if you have one, then why not two?

And pretty soon you are getting ground breaking information like "there are unused icons on your desktop" LEAVE ME BE STUPID NOTIFICATIONS.

I turned off the so-called Advaced File System cause I couldn't stand that thing popping up every time you opened the lid. I really don't like notifications.

Nope, can't install the silverlight application. M$ doesn't have a browser extension.

They've even created a Web OS in silverlight - that of course you need to install silverlight localy to use.

Don't get me started on Silverlight.

MS's idea of web apps is that you need a native plugin to make them work. This is why the web version of Office is so slow. I refuse to install Silverlight.

I would guess that ChromiumOS is a fair amount lighter than the behemoth 4gig download that is Lion.

Samsung now selling chromebooks. Price point is significantly higher than i would have expected. Why not just buy a full laptop or an ipad for $500?
