Default 2011 AO Fantasy Baseball 20-team keeper - who is returning?

Trading window starts 1/1. Just wanted to get an idea of who is coming back and if we need to search for new owners.

If you want to be added to the wait list go ahead and post here first come first served, vote also. I think we have 3 on the wait list from last year already.

colby announced he's not coming back.

I'll get the draft board ready to hand over to the new commissioner once we have all our teams set.

JA6 will move from observer to board member

one of the existing board members (hopefully) will take over as commissioner and I'll be stepping down - though I will be returning as an owner.

Oh and if you've migrated to new alt let me or one of the other board members know via PM.

Lat year's thread with rules for returning and new comers alike here. But feel free to throw out questions in this thread as well, I or someone else will probably chime in.

Poll coming.

Early look at my crappy team - everyone is getting thrown back and I'm starting fresh. Maybe this year I won't throw away my #1 pick by trading it, like i have the last 2 years. Then again reviewing those trades: last year Joe Blow got 6th in the consolation (so 1 worse than me) and in 2009 SirVLCIV finished 18th. So, the person I made the trade with hasn't done that well either.

I'm also going to avoid trading for catchers as keepers. I got Soto in 2009 and Monetero last year and they both went down the crapper the year I owned them. Monetero wasn't horrible, but was hurt a couple of months last year.

Another thing - did we ever resolve the issue of trading down in rounds that you have a keeper to get upgrades in other rounds?

Some claimed it was unfair because you are selling something with no value to yourself and getting an upgrade later. I've participated in this practice because it's within the rules, but I wanted to try and get the discussion going really early this year in case someone wants to implement a rule before we get really into the trading.

to my knowledge this was discussed, approved, allowed and the rules were slightly modified to remove the conflicting provisons - one of which allowed and one which appeared to ban.

I just wanted to make sure. I did some searching, but couldn't seem to find the thread where it was discussed. I probably just didn't look hard enough.
