Thumbs up Resume Critique Please

I am applying for an internship for a company that a buddy of mine works in so he told me to send my resume to him. I am only a freshman in college so I don't have much actuarial coursework or exams yet but I included stuff that I felt was relevant. Please feel free to critique absolutely anything about my resume as well as give any advice that would make my resume better. Thank you in advance!

This looks more like a high school resume than a college resume, honestly. I'm guessing your GPA is based on 1 semester of school, so I'm not sure how valuable that will be to employers. You also have not passed an exam yet, and unless you have major connections, you probably won't get an internship as a college freshman with just one exam. Your work experience is not all too impressive. And drop Arista, calc BC, and AP scholar from your achievements. I don't list my AP award, and I got 4+ in 8 of them.
Your first skills bullet should be omitted completely. The only semi-remarkable thing is your 800 in math, but exams are so much more important. And I know many people (including myself) who have a 5 on BC, 800 in math, and 800 in the SAT II for Level 2.

Why are you preparing your resume when you just finished one semester of college? Enjoy your time in college and worry about this crap later.

I also vote to put the resume aside for now. I'd say just study for exams. Good luck though.

If you can get an internship, take it!!! Have a good time during your internship. And build a better resume for next year.

Especially because you apparently don't have much background to sell, the most important thing to do to get the job is to try and get your friend to pull for you from inside. I suggest getting feedback from your friend on your resume before you officially submit it, too. He would likely be more aware of how to tailor the resume to the position.

I can't get the resume to open in my version of Word.

The reason why I included my SAT scores and AP Calc score was because I looked on the company site and it suggested to include math tests that show strong math aptitude if you do not have any actuarial exams.

Don't use "I" statements when describing your job responsibilities.

When I was a freshman, I didn't even know what I wanted to major in, let alone was I applying for internships and trying to get such a leg up. I wasted alot of my potential, and I'm still regretting it. Get a solid start on your career, and you'll have a lot more freedom to enjoy the 60 to 70 years after you graduate.
