This girl asked me for advice

I guess I'm not getting why this girl would ask some dude she barely knows about how to do sex, when all she has to do is read Cosmo or talk a female friend.

Anyway, of course I don't know that she wasn't really a virgin, just that's the opinion I formed based on the facts provided...which is what the OP was asking for.

Did you miss the part where he said that people tend to open up to him? Maybe she doesn't have friends who she feels comfortable opening up to or maybe she wants a male perspective. There are lots of reasons that don't lead to her being a liar. Really, if she wanted to pick up this married guy why the heck would she make up some convoluted story about just losing her virginity? Is that REALLY going to achieve the goal of having sex with a married dude?

Most non-religious virgins (that I've encountered) keep it quiet for various reasons. They're under the impression that they're the only one, they aren't believed, it's not something that's important to them, they never met the person they wanted to 'lose' it to, they feel like a freak because they don't have a 'reason' for still being a virgin, etc.

I'm someone that people feel they can share things with (I have no idea why some people tell me some of the things they tell me. ) which is why I happen to know so much personal information about a lot of people.

I think no matter how sexual the media becomes, there is always going to be this group of people. I can't imagine that times really have changed that much since I was in hs.

Sophia, I don't get why on the one hand you find it believable all these women are virgins at a relatively late age and at the same time thing that someone who waits that long to give it up is likely to hit up some random married MAN she barely knows for sexual advice.
