Is anybody else feeling nervous about the new tracking system in place at american borders? At first observation it appears to be an excellent idea. It might work just dandy. My fear is that it will work so well, or at least be claimed to be working so well, that the process will be extended to all of us. If I have nothing to hide I have nothing to fear, right? Except that it would be an invasion of my privacy.

Right now they're implementing fingerprint scanning for about 2 dozen countries. I understood that they are planning on eventually implementing this for all countries. When they do, it will be a serious roadblock. I really have no intention of being fingerprinted, no more shopping trips to Buffalo for me.

They've been tracking you for YEARS using those strips in the dollar bills....soooooo relaxxxxxx.
I'd be surprised if they ever extended this to Canadians. People from Minnesota...yes...but Canadians? |

Glenn ... worry not. Canada is subject to special immigration rules, and is exempt from the fingerprinting/photographing requirements in the law. Once the full force of the law is in effect, I believe there are only abotu 25 nations in total that are exempt, mostly Western Europe and Canada.

As long as you don't mind being fingerprinted when you go for a visit overseas. I am shorting tourism stocks as foreign visits to the US will decrease alot over the next few years.
