I was in graduate school, busy doing a lot of computational algebraic number theory but coming to realize that I didn't really want to do Ph.D. mathematics research. At the time, I thought that the hardest exams available would be comps.

I was about to begin my Master's in Secondary Education, and I was about to meet some of the most wonderful friends ever that summer.

I hadn't heard of what an actuary was at that point either. Who would've thought I'd be able to get a job in my hometown!

Still in school, knowing nothing about actuary/insurance, until sometime this month 5 years ago, when someone told me all about it and asked me to be a study partner to take exam with, then I took/passed my first 2 exams a few weeks later.... and got all exams out of my way last year. Feels just like yesterday

Just finish my AA degree and about to transfer to university. Knew what actuarial science was but didnt think that it would take this long to finish. Much easier back then knowing exactly what I want
