Default Gapminder

I saw one mention of this in a post from 5 years ago.

Gapminder.org

This is a very neat tool to look at international economic, population, etc. statistics over time. Why don't more people use these types of tools to represent data and statistics?

That is so visual, it HAS to be valid. Let's not bother looking into the data that created this managerie.

I'm looking specifically at the the CO2 emissions chart. How are 1820's CO2 emissions determined?

It was a lot colder then. From this, we can extrapolate CO2 emissions

I spent a fair amount of time last year trying to find a version that looks as good as that one. Gapminder did sell its underlying architecture to Google (it's one of Google's gadgets), but it's a remedial version and frankly doesn't look nearly as good as anything Rosling has published.

The whaaaa?

OK, I'm checking this data for factualness. If I find something screwy, will anyone be able to snap out off their chart-caused hypnosis to listen?

First crack: Not allowed to get to web page.
go to home site:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
