Reduced admissions = [1]2010 exp adm w/o DM program - [2]expected adm with a DM prog
1st quest-They put down 59,657 (as a subtracted amt [2])? Where does that come from. 2nd quest- Do they even give you [1] exp adm w/o DM program? Or would you just compare the 2 DM programs? |

Don't even start me on that question. I could rant on that thing for an hour. For studying purposes, ignore it. It was badly written (more than badly), and I have many names to call the SOA for trying to to pretend like its not defective, instead of admitting that they screwed up.

I'm glad you brought this up. I spent some time being confused about this answer.

I am just looking to answer if similar question comes up. Last year's case study didn't have the expected admits w/o dm program

There are questions on past DP & 8M exams that include the necessary utilization trend assumptions. Look at 2009 DP #8c, 2007 DP #8a and 2006 8M # 19a to get a better idea. This question from last year was a disaster.

I'm just looking at the question now and omg the solutions and what's up with the comment at the beginning of the solution?
Anyways I think I bs-Ed my way on this question and constantly saying in my answer that there are not enough info to calc part c/d, surprisingly I got a 10 on this question which I still think its bs. Anyways moving on to next Q...
