Well you threaten to kill them first. If they don't give good information, you kill them. Plain and simple. It doesn't work because people are of course prepared to die for their cause. Torture is a different matter. Generally speaking, I'm opposed to making life worse than death. We shot Osama, and for that he can be thankful. If we had taken him alive, and the politics were right, he would have experienced a fate considerably worse than death.
Another problem with water-boarding is that looks too clean. It would be better if we crucified them. Then we would have an appropriately guilty conscience about it. Instead we have *******s saying it's not that bad. Last edited by sweetiepie; 05-13-2011 at 06:49 PM.. |
