I am just starting the module, but I'm guessing you are close to finishing by now. Could you let me know if you need the Crouhy book?

When I click on the Resources for the Module, it is NOT listed; however, the SOA website lists the book. I don't want to waste the $ on it if I don't need it; however, I dont want to get deep into the modules and have to hold up because I don't have it.

you'll need to the Crouhy book, you pretty much read the whole thing... if memory serves.

Correct me if I'm wrong...

Not that I don't think the textbook material is important, but seems like when it comes to the EOM exercise, the textbook isn't all that helpful.

If you do NOT have a knowledge of subject then book will be helpful. If you do have a knowledge then book is useless.

Agreed; however, the design of these modules is read all the stuff... hopefully learn something.... write a paper... and the three don't always have anything to do with each other.

I still recommend following the process...

Is the Lam textbook from the FAP course enough to complete the EOM? I just ask because the EOMs always seem so random in comparison to the readings...

Hi,

Has anybody been through Chapter 13 of The Essentials of Risk Management (Crouhy) - And understood how figure 13B-1 is constructed?
It seems to me there is a lot of unsaid things in building this figure.
If anybody figured it out, I'd be glad to have your point of view on this.
