Yup. A guy in my fraternity made it. It was really good and smooth for what it was.

Never real moonshine. But I have had legally bottled "White Dog" whiskey. Very sweet.

Never been offered it. If it was offered by a trusted source I might try it but if I happened to be in the middle of the Ozarks and someone pulled up in a truck and tried to sell me some moonshine I'd probably pass.

Had some this weekend. Guy keeps a still in his basement. He had regular and cherry and strawberry.

If it is done right it can be really good.

I've had some apple brandy distilled by the guy who offered it to me. He also grew the apples and fermented the cider that he distilled. Does that count? I have no idea if his still was legal or not. He lives in Canada if that makes a difference.

The brandy was fabulous, one of the best distilled alcoholic beverages I've tasted.

do we consider moonshine anything that was distilled in an 'at home' setting?
