Default Defective question in the last sitting (May 2011)

I have encountered the discrete dividend problem in the real exam. And I'm sure quite a number of you have done so.
I have sent an email to the Education Committee, and their reply was:

"Thank you for your comments regarding Exam MFE. Your email has been forwarded to the exam committee for review. We will send you their response after the grades are released."

Now the grades have been released, but I have yet to receive their response. I wonder if anyone here has got their reply already.

Why are you both using the past progressive? This is an instance where you should use the simple past.

Are you doing this because you got a 9 on the exam and want a 10?

He's doing it because there was a defective question on his exam... this [probably referring to some inappropriate content in the original post that has been deleted. It was also quoted here originally - Mod1] is unnecessary.

Going from a 9 to a 10 is unnecessary.

No, because the pass mark is too high and I believe that even if I got a perfect score, I would not be able to get a 10. I spent 1 hr during the exam in that question in a bid to find out the cause, and I would just like to know if my analysis is correct.

Why do you think this?

So? The purpose of the test is to divide the world into "6 and above" and "5 and below". If you are in the former category, congratulations, now go on to the next one.
