The differing approaches on reinsurance are very interesting to me. I'm glad I included it this way. Give up annual profits to still exist if the one of the 3 really bad cats hit, or just hope it doesn't in the time it takes for those annual profits to add up to hostile takeover time?

Just like in real life, industry experts are often wrong about things.

No, there are no trends here. A random 'bad performance' note comes up if the industry losses are above a certain percentile (likely, a 'good performance' note comes up if the industry is below a certain percentile).
