Be glad there are women who like goofy-looking guys. And guys who like to blow bubbles from chance soap films in their company's bathrooms. And other stuff.

Goofy guys of the world, I salute you!
How do women feel about men that "seem" normal but are actually few bolts short of something that requires more bolts?

I wouldn't call anticipating the next Michael Kors outfit forward looking.

This is how ugly guys rationalize being ugly.

It seems to me that the guys bitching about this are the AO's "who's who" of not getting laid.

Actually, I better start bitching about unattractive women.

Good to know GP!

The only things on that list that apply to me are
1) I can't play a basic instrument...do most people? I was too busy swimming and taking gymnastics and ballet lessons to take piano, sue me!

2) There could be an argument for watching too much TV, but hey, it's the Olympics!

That is all.

Note to self: have coffee before answering what turns out to be a year old thread. lol

Plenty of shallowness on both sides, but in my experience there's not a whole lot of it in unattractive nerd communities. Most of them learned at a very early age to start valuing things other than looks, and as adults are a lot more into dating people they can have fun with and relate to, maybe because that has been kind of a rare find for them their whole lives. They're largely not "settling but secretly yearning to date the attractive, shallow jerks that made their childhoods and teenage years a living hell."

My thoughts on this entire thread:

There is a small but vocal subset of men who think they are characters from AMC's Mad Men. Women have to cut through these guys to find someone worth dating.

There is a small but vocal subset of women who think they are characters from Sex and the City. Men have to cut through these broads to find someone worth dating.
