Well, here is a narrative for you...
I am not taking Exam 6 this year. Instead, I decided to earn my CPCU designation (I just passed my final CPCU exam this Monday and am now waiting to receive the diploma) – and then to pursue an Associate in Regulation and Compliance (ARC) designation, partly as a way to begin studying two of the textbooks that are on the Exam 6 syllabus. After that, I will take a fellowship-level exam (probably Exam 7 again) during the Spring 2012 sitting, followed by Exam 6 during Fall 2012.
My new strategy for the remaining actuarial exams will be to give myself
much more than four months per exam to prepare. I realized that this year, I simply would not have enough time to pursue the immense syllabus of Exam 6 even if I started in late June. So, instead, I will start, a little bit at a time, late this September – to prepare for next year.
Sincerely,
G. Stolyarov II
