Default Need 26 pts tonight, have Hightower, Start Romo or Grossman?

Not sure what to do here. Romo would score more if there is no risk to him getting injured during the game....thoughts? I have to win!

I'm not sure what gives you points. but I think Grossman has a better chance of getting you there. 1) Romo's injury potentional 2) Through the first 2 games this year, both the Cowboys and Redskins D's have only been giving up about 230 yds passing, but the boys have given up 4 TDs to only 2 by Washington. and Washington has played some decent WRs in Arizona and Giants. Where as the Boys have played SF and Jets, giving up 2 TD passes to Alex Smith. I think that makes Grossman a wiser pick.

Of course, I don't play fantasty football, so you might want to go with Romo, since there is a reason I don't play it. (my reasoning for this stuff is usually way off)

I'd figure out what kind of stat lines you'd need from Hightower and Grossman in order to win:

Grossman: 250 + 1TD
Hightower: 70 + 1TD

I don't know if that would win it for you. I'm thinking you need a big game from your QB, which is much more likely with Romo. Or you can bet on the Grossman to Hightower screen pass TD.

That was pretty close. Rexy has 222+ 1TD (- 1 INT) + 6 rushing yds and 63yds + 1TD (a pass like you said) from Timmy with one drive possibly left.

Man, would have liked to have one of these kickers.

no one has the dallas kicker in my league. 18 points tonight. Plus my league gives distance bonuses.

I need 10 more yards from Santana moss to get teh most points this week. No money, just bragging rights.

So who did you go with and was it enough to score 26 points? I'm assuming Grossman was the better play since yardage was the same, both had a pick, but Grossman at least got a TD. I just have no clue what that stuff is worth.

also, I think Romo would have been a lot better if the O-line learned to play. I just checked out the stats and they gave 3 fumbles to the Center, I didn't even know you could contribute fumbles to center, but I guess it makes sense. I saw all 3 on Sportscenter this morning and they were pretty bad.

It varies from league to league. Some have passer TDs worth a full 6 pts, most others only 4. Some only 3 pts.

The INTs and/or Fumbles hurt (usually -2).

If it was fractional, the extra 6 rushing yds from Rex was worth 0.6 pts

80 yds + TD from Tim shoudl be 14 pts (8+6), unless the 39 receiving only got 3 pts (integer league). Then it's 3 (rec) + 4 (rush) + 6 (TD) = 13 pts

250 yds = 10 pts (1pt/25yd) + 4 (TD - most likely 4) but -4 for the Int & Fumble.

That looks like 24 points at best, but the best play, given Romo's lack of TDs. So it really didnt matter either way.
