Resume and non-actuarial internships

So there's a career fair at my University coming up and I want to explore my options by applying for internships that are not necessarily actuarial.

Two questions
1) How useful would an internship in, say, statistical modeling, be for someone who wants to be an actuary?

2) Should I include exams passed on the resume I submit to these employers?

When you say "explore my options," do you mean in the sense that you would rather have a non-actuarial internship over an actuarial one?

I mean the job market's tight and there's only 1 insurance company at the career fair and I'll take what I can get.

Well one offering internships (Progressive). To be fair we had 2 companies come in earlier and host private information sessions.
