I'm sure you'll be able to register for the August sitting. That seems like a fairly large oversight on the SOA's part if it didn't work out...

I'm hoping I don't have to, but if they will refund if I end up passing I might try and register to see if they tell me I can't cause I passed.....

That used to be the case, but they fixed that loophole. Sorry to break it to ya.

Yeah I was gonna say.... they didn't seem any harder than MFE'09 either. Doing Mahler + oldASM questions made this an apparent breeze.

I'm encouraged by what those who have already taken it have said about the difficulty but I'm still a bit nervy going into it tomorrow. I'm not sure what else to do at this point, I took an ADAPT exam this AM (sitting now at 8.54) and I don't think I'm going to take another one before the test. I guess just review my formula sheets and SOA 76. Maybe glance over a few ASM exams.

I can't wait to take this test and then walk to the bar and watch the Real Madrid/Bayern Munich match!

As for those pencils... I really wish they'd let us use pens. I hate using pencils to begin with but couple pencils with that high gloss paper and those bright lights I had to keep making a shadow with my body so I could read what I was writing.
I didn't think it was tricky at all. In fact, not one of my questions involved any trickery, in my opinion.

Seconded on the pens.

That's good to hear because that is exactly how I felt coming out of the exam.

I used only ASM to study and found the exam pretty easy. I had ~an hour at the end and went back and re-did 20 of the 30 problems.

I found that although the later ASM exams are a lot harder than the earlier ones and the actual exam, that they were incredibly helpful to have done.
