My second (and current) guitar is a Jackson DKMG Dinky - the pre-Fender version with the 20db boost. I've since ripped out the 20db boost and replaced the EMG-HZs with DiMarzio Evolutions. Still an absolute beast of a guitar. I've heard the post-Fender Jackson's are much lower quality though.

I've played a few high end Ibanez (JEMs and S-Series) like those quite a bit. I love the specs on the high end RG series, but they all feel like crap for some reason.

Love Fender Strats and Teles, but could never see myself buying one. Not my style at all.

Hate every Gibson I've ever played, ridiculously overpriced.

The few ESPs I've played are okay for what they were. Mostly low-mid range stuff.

Every Charvel I've played is awesome.

B.C. Rich are awful.

Never played Schecter/Dean/G&L/PRS, etc.

So, what are your guy's favorites? I think right now if I were to get a new guitar, I'd either go Charvel Custom or check out some PRS or higher end ESPs. Not even sure what I would say my favorite (stock) models are right now.
If you don't like high-end RGs, I'm probably not gonna be able to help you. Is it the flat necks?

It's not that I don't like them, it's just that they have a cheap feel to them for some reason. Although I may just need to try them again, the one in particular I am remembering was a used guitar the guy got for really cheap, so there might have been some problems with it besides the usual paint scuffs.

BTW, I really like thin necks.

You and ORLYLOL have misplaced USA pride and make it clear that you have almost zero experience with the rest of the world (wrt guitar) and so you come off as homers and fanboys.

Try playing an Ibanez before you tell us how much it sucks compared to the Fender next time.
eh, not so much. I just don't like fenders really. My wife has one and I don't care for the feel of it. Though the sound is good.

Not sure what you mean by misplaced USA pride. Aren't Fenders from the US? I like my Ibanez, but I would not call it a high quality guitar.

I have a friend who has a true ESP (not an LTD). I haven't played a lot of high-end guitars, but that one was my favorite.

Yeah, all the ones I've played are LTD. I've love to give a real one a go, because their LTD's really aren't bad for what they are.
