A friend just sent me that graph of the Boeing retirees and how long the pension payments had been made. It's the one where the conclusion is that (I'm paraphrasing) if you retire later (age 65 or so) you'll die in a year, but if you retire early, you'll live to be 90. I remember seeing an atuarial disussion of this, but can't remember where. Can you help me out with this?

I believe there was some type of error, either in the study or the report. The results are clearly erroneous.
This has been discussed before and others may be able to shed more light. |

Clearly erroneous, although if true I'd wonder what was in the water and the air at those plants. Sooner you get out, the better?
I bet someone's denominator is off. |

Boeing re-issued a press release recently stating how untrue and unrelated to Boeing the 20 year old fake study is. Sorry I deleted the link and can't point you there.
