Fausto Camona ages 3 years and gets a new name over night. Roberto Hernandez Heredia. I like Fausto better as a name.

If I remember right, last year wasn't a big year for 10th round keepers. This year, I almost wonder if there's going to be a single non-keeper pick in the 10th round. I'm guessing that 14 are pretty much settled already. And I see 5 or so others who teams just don't have an available pick for. And I'm likely missing some who I just don't know enough about to rank them. Maybe we'll see a few 10th rounders kept in the 9th.

what do you consider big? If I'm looking at it right, there were 14 keepers in the 10th round last year. That seems like quite a few to me. I haven't done a full analysis of this year's keepers. Is it just me or have some sites been slow at getting up projections/rankings compared to last year? I would have sworn that I had way more info last year at this time. Then again, I haven't really tried too hard yet this year, so maybe I'm wrong.

I just thought I remembered posting a note last year that it seemed like there were more open slots for draft picks in the 10th than I expected. Maybe just 6 open spots seemed like a lot. Maybe at that time I expected the whole round to be full of keepers, like this year is shaping up to be. 6 open spots is quite a bit different than 1 or 2, especially when looking at trading down in the round and realizing that it's not really worth anyone's time to make such a move the focal point of a trade.

Keeper Rules:
Deadline - Participants must declare their keeper intentions privately to the Commissioner; the deadline for which is generally the date pitchers and catchers report, which is February 19 in 2012. The "player universe" will be locked on that day.

Trade announcement:

rekrap's 3.10 tometom
rekrap tometom's 4.01 + C.J. Wilson

With CJ and Pujols, I'm starting to feel like Art Moreno or Jerry Dipoto...

Nevermind. I need to hit the Page 2 button before answering questions.

And that brings us up to 3 "forced" keepers:

Sergio Santos
Matt Cain
CJ Wilson
