As always, thanks for the running the game Jables! It feels good to be back in the top two after a number of years finishing out of the money. If only I'd chosen Adele in all categories she was eligible in!

I watched the awards. I get that Adele has a great voice and a pretty unique style. I don't get the fawning adulation. Wasn't this just a pretty weak year?

BTW, Adam Levine should be thrown off of The Voice after his really pathetic attempts at harmony during the Beach Boys tribute. Foster the People sounded great but Maroon 5 was probably the worst of all the performances I saw (about half so far).

Also, I thought it kind of odd that Chris Brown won Best R&B after performing what was essentially a dance number while badly lip-synching his way through the auto-tuned recording. Still, it didn't hurt my ears like Adam Levine did.

I thought it was funny/off/pathetic that the three men who had been nominated in the R&B category have all had run-ins with the law, with each one accused of abusing women or girls at some point.

I thought Coldplay sounded bad....Chris Martin always sounds off-key when they do a live television performance. Nicki Minaj is trying too hard to be weird like Lady Gaga. Adele's performance was pretty good, and I thought Bruno Mars had the most entertaining performance.

Have the Grammys been relevant at any point in recent history? The song that won Country Duo/Group Performance is one I've never heard, and I listen to a lot of country music. The Lady Antebellum album that won Country Album is probably either their second or third best...of three albums.

I'll admit that I practically tune Coldplay out these days. For me, one aong sounds pretty much like the rest at this point.

Agreed about Nicki Minaj, but by the same token, Lady Gaga acts weird solely for the point of acting weird. I see no "artistic statement" or anything else in her choices. But I do hope she's gotten out of the tuna nets since last night.

Absolutely agree on Bruno Mars. He sounded outstanding last night and gave an absolute electric performance. I look forward to hearing whatever he does next.

Does anyone know who was the other guy up there with Dave Grohl, The Boss, The Beatle and Joe Walsh. I didn't see them introduced and I have no idea who he is.
