consulting actuaries need to know how to talk to people and sell business to be successful, so this is completely wrong in that regard. not sure about insurance actuaries.

These are 5 careers for shy people. As in "if you are shy here are 5 professions you may want to try".

It does not imply there are not another million jobs for shy people, which perhaps come above the 5 listed, nor does it say that these 5 are the 5 professions with the most shy people.

It's just talking. Mosty BS talking, totally unsubstantiated, because the author's boss asked her to write something.

Agreed. I'm surprised Writer/Poet or anything involving writing to LET OUT THEIR FEELINGS isn't up there. The author doesn't know **** and is probably too shy to admit that she's shy.
