Default 5 careers for shy people

guess which career is one of the five

http://education.yahoo.net/articles/....htm?kid=1KWO3

Spoiler:
Career #4: Actuary

Actuaries, who specialize in risk assessment, often spend their days pouring over statistics involving people - not talking to them. "Actuaries and mathematicians are usually up to their necks in databases and algorithms," says Miller.

Related degrees: Actuaries often have a bachelor's degree in areas like mathematics and statistics, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Other related majors include finance and business administration.

Average earnings: $98,620*

I don't seem to talk to more or less people than any other department, except sales and customer service

consulting actuaries need to know how to talk to people and sell business to be successful, so this is completely wrong in that regard. not sure about insurance actuaries.

These are 5 careers for shy people. As in "if you are shy here are 5 professions you may want to try".

It does not imply there are not another million jobs for shy people, which perhaps come above the 5 listed, nor does it say that these 5 are the 5 professions with the most shy people.

It's just talking. Mosty BS talking, totally unsubstantiated, because the author's boss asked her to write something.

Agreed. I'm surprised Writer/Poet or anything involving writing to LET OUT THEIR FEELINGS isn't up there. The author doesn't know **** and is probably too shy to admit that she's shy.
