went ahead and joined a couple free ESPN leagues just for fun. An 20 team H2H at 10:15 (w00t, 2nd pick! I'll take Miggy if I can, 3B is going to be tough to fill in a 20 teamer) and an AL only at 10:30.

I forget how into this I get this time of year. Wish I hadn't backed out of the AO 20 teamer. Hopefully I can get into a few 'real' leagues next year.

Maybe I'll see about organizing an AO auction league next year. Interest seemed lukewarm though.

Burnett has been moved to the DL, I'll pick up a reliever as soon as waivers are open (Friday). Hopefully Montero gets C eligibility so I can move him to C, Napoli to 1B, Miggy to 3B.

If I could do one thing differently in the AL-only, it would be to take Longoria in the 1st round. 3B is SHALLOW.

He does have a solid core of power hitters (Miggy Cabrera, JUpton, M.Holliday, N.Cruz, M.Teixeira, J.Rollins, D.Ortiz), but his pitching staff is pretty weak (Zimmermann, A.Sanchez, D.Hudson, Hellickson, Garza, N.Feliz) with only 1 closer (Thornton). He also just has Kipnis at 2B.

If it landed me J.Upton+another HR hitter, I'd probably be willing to deal Pedroia (and would then go all out trying to get Rickie Weeks or Kelly Johnson as a replacement) and an SP or RP. Obviously not willing to do Pedroia for J.Upton straight up (given I kept Pedroia OVER J.Upton). He may be more inclined to do (HR hitter) for (SP, 2 SPs, SP+RP) type deals though.

I always tend to have Ortiz in at least one league every single year; this guy doesn't seem high on him, so I might be able to grab him, lol.

I kinda left it open for him to make me an offer first, as I think I can weather a few weeks while I figure out what I have in my pitchers and try to build a couple tradeable hot streaks.
Awesome, he responded to my message.

Upton's unavailable, but Holliday, Cruz, and Gordon are on the block. I'm also interested in Ortiz at the right price, but I don't know what that is. He's not interested in trading for an RP.

He wants at least one of Darvish, CC, Wainwright, Moore, McCarthy.

So, I guess my question is: What would you offer for Cruz? What would you offer for Cruz+Ortiz? I'm willing to deal CC for the right return (but I think I can get more than just Cruz for him). I'm not interested in Holliday for his going price.
