For CFO, Actuarial, Reserving & Analysis team based in Munich, we are looking for an

Actuary/actuarial analyst (m/f)

Actuarial duties and management-reporting responsibilities.

In this position, your primary responsibility will be to provide actuarial support for management and the business units in reserving, planning, cycle management, performance and profitability analyses of the company. This will include regular review of the adequacy of claims reserves and review of other reserves as required. As well as providing appropriate input and assisting in the business planning process (including developing and maintaining models. As part of your communications and liaison responsibilities, you will be expected to establish good working relationships with management and business areas in order to ensure their long-term support for reserving.

You will also provide support in the modeling, extrapolation, interpretation and monitoring of data to identify and confirm market trends and business opportunities for the company. Assisting in the development of management information will be an additional responsibility of this position. Working with other members of the actuarial function, you will help to ensure effective communications within the actuarial team and the completion of cross-territory actuarial projects as required by the Team Head.

Internationally experienced professionals being sought.

The initial qualification for the actuary position is either a certification as a P&C actuary or a Ph.D. in mathematics. To qualify for the position as an actuarial analyst, you must be willing to take actuarial exams. In both cases, strong computer and communication skills are required. You should also have worked in an international environment during your career. Finally, you must be fluent in English and German would be beneficial.
