Who has a collection and what do you own? I've considered restarting one because I enjoy the nostalgia of LP's. Plus, some stuff sounds better on a LP.

Plus, I'm looking to crowdsource information from album covers. If you have a collection, are you willing to help me?

I don't know what crowdsource means but I have a bunch of LPs from the 80s.

I've always enjoyed the LP vs CD sound quality argument. My uncle has a nice collection and a high end turntable and man it sounds nice.

I buy them for the covers mostly. Perhaps when I'm richer I'll buy some mint versions. Everything I own right now has enough wear and tear that there isn't much benefit.

Basically outsourcing a list of tasks to a network of people known as the crowd. I'm looking to gather information from as many volunteers as possible and aggregate the data. The information I am looking for is useless to most people but has value to myself.

80's LPs like The Police, Prince and Duran Duran?

There's a lot of cool artwork on vintage LPs. Cover art seems to be a lost artform. I'm actually looking for information off the front and back covers as well as the inside gatefold given there is anything of interest.

When Michael Jackson died my brother got his old Thriller ablum, took it out, and inside was an invitation to join the Michael Jackson Fan Club, send $19.95 to some address, get some stickers, pictures, etc. Nice little nostalgia.

went to the Chicago area record show not long ago. It's like a flea market of record dealers. I got a copy of The Misfits Earth A.D. for $4.

Still have some. I'm a bit of an audiophile and kept hearing the debate about digital vs analog. So about 4 yrs ago I bought a decent turntable for $400 and a bunch of records. I personally didn't find the sound to be superior, and the convenience of digital is nice. After about a year, I wasn't using the turntable and sold it.

FTR, equipment is an NAD 521 disc player, Mac C15 pre, Mac MC252 amp. Speakers I built, MTM towers with Seas Excel drivers. So I have the equipment to reveal subtle differences.
