"Race" isn't easily defined...it's mostly how we perceive skin color, hair texture, and other superficial qualities.
First, define race. I can't answer the question without it being clearly defined. In my opinion, there has been too much migration and reproduction amongst different subsets of the human population that dividing them into neat buckets like "black" and "white" presents an unrepresentative portrait of human diversity. Having access to an Olympic-sized pool is more important than it looks...it's a lot harder to reproduce this type of controlled environment than say, drawing 100m on a paved surface. Some people don't have access to these exclusive clubs which are expensive to join. "White" people are better at sports that require expensive equipment/preparation due to differences in income, which are brought upon by racism and the subjugation of people whom the dominant group perceive to be of lower class. Japan and Korea won gold medals in swimming at the last Olympics...those are high-income nations, just sayin'

Based on the AO itself, there seems to be greater chance that a person is an idiot if he is non-black than if he (or she) is black. Brothaz is just gonna have to try harder. Just visualize "idiot" like a jumpshot and go for it.

I'm willing to bet the variance within groups (of sufficient size) is greater than the variance between groups with respect to these genes.

Neither is true. But I am curious about genetically linked/predisposed diseases/disorders like sickle-cell anemia (from which a black friend of mine died very young). Has anyone studied differences in mortality/morbidity?
