And for me, calling 911 would NOT be an instinctive reaction when I'm in a threatening situation on the street. I wouldn't expect them to arrive fast enough to save me, and even if they arrived quickly I'd worry about them arresting me, especially if they arrive while I'm running from or fighting the guy who's chasing me. Escaping or hiding would be the first priority, then I'd start thinking about other options like 911 after I'm already in a fairly safe place.

And even if your analysis is correct, you've done the analysis with plenty of time to reflect carefully, extremely far from the heat of the moment.

I thought TM dropped his phone? How can he call 911 with no phone? Am I missing something?
